Beijing Shougang International Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.(BSIET) is an international engineering company, established through reorganization of auxiliary business from Beijing Shougang Design Institute, with registered capital of 150 million yuan which is invested by Shougang Group who takes relative majority of the share, manager’s team and core technical managers.
BSIET has the compound Grade A Qualification for engineering design issued by the State, it is the first unit of Beijing municipal enterprises that awarded this Qualification and is able to undertake engineering design for all industries and all grades, it can provide technical services such as planning consultation, project supervision, equipment integration and contracting of overseas project.
BSIET, succeeding to abundant technologies and excellent culture created by Shougang Design Institute for nearly 40 years, becomes the engineering company with most complete disciplines in metallurgical reconnaissance and design industry, having 30 odd disciplines like mining, beneficiation, iron and steel making, steel rolling, sintering and palletizing, coking, industrial furnace, general layout, building structure, heating and ventilation, electric automation, environmental protection and technical economy. Possessing 5 share hold companies, 4 invested Companies, and 2 joint ventures with Nippon Steel and Belgium CMI. In China metallurgical engineering industry, it is the first company to obtain ISO9000 quality certificate, and takes lead in the development of project general contract business. International operation, multi-business, modernization of technical equipment and scientific project management have been realized through all round implementation of project general contract, managing system of operation quality, environment and occupational health safety and intensified information management. 6000 odd project engineering design both at home and abroad have been accomplished, the number of general contract project completed is more than 100, the accumulated amount from general contract projects is up to several ten billion yuan. It ranks in leading position among the reconnaissance and design enterprises of the whole country in term of operational revenue.
BSIET, adhering to independent innovation, running the enterprise in an open way and developing the enterprise by science and technology had established long term cooperation with well known companies like VAI, SMS, NSC, CMI and Danieli and completed co-design of several projects. In project planning and construction, the concept of cycling economy is greatly advocated and practiced and new technologies, new equipment and new material for environmental protection and energy conservation are promoted in all aspects. Outstanding achievements are made in iron and steel making, steel rolling, sintering and palletizing, coking, industrial furnace. In recent years, BSIET has finished many engineering projects as well as general contract projects including 2nd Steel Making Plant of BaoSteel, CDQ of WISCO, BF of Taigang, CDQ of Jigang, BF of Chonggang, coking of Xingang, high speed wire mill of Xuan’gang, and sintering machine of Cheng’gang etc. in more than 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. Plenty of overseas projects in India, Malaysia, Brazil, Vietnam, Bengal, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Angola, Peru and Saudi Arabia are finished or under construction. BSIET has undertaken the historical mission—overall design of Shougang Jingtang Iron and Steel Plant which is the key project in National “11th Five Year Plan”.
In recent years, BSIET has been awarded with 30-odd national science & technology prizes and national excellent design prizes, nearly 300 metallurgical industry and Beijing city excellent design and achievement prizes, and nearly 100 national patents. Several projects created new records of Chinese companies. Awarded in consecutive years the title of “Promise-keeping Enterprise” of Beijing City; awarded honours successively of Pioneer unit of project general contract among national construction enterprise, National excellent reconnaissance and design institute, Excellent unit to create new record of Chinese enterprise, Excellent enterprise of national metallurgical construction industry and demonstration unit for the Construction Ministry’s Project of “Demonstration research of information application in construction industry”.
